The Runarounds’ Sold Out Show in Orlando, FL
Last Friday, June 19th, The Runarounds played a SOLD OUT show at House of Blues in Orlando, Fl. The venue was filled with an insane energy. This was one of the last few stops on the bands Minivan Tour.
Foxtide started off the night. They’re a band from San Diego, CA consisting of Elijah Croft (vocals/guitar), Orion Silva (bass), Dom Friedly (guitar), and Ian Robles (drums). They recently released their album Entropy which they played a few songs from. The band brought out William Lipton from The Runarounds to sing "Wait it out". They also brought out Axel Ellis from The Runarounds to sing "My Favorite Girl Loves Reading". Those two songs and "Pilot Wings" Really got the crowd hyped and ready for The Runarounds.
The Runarounds are a indie-rock band who originally formed in 2020 while the creators of Outer Banks were looking for a band to be on the show. They later gained their own show after their appearance on Outer banks. The band consists of William Lipton (Guitar/Vocals), Axel Ellis (Guitar/Vocals), Jessie Golliher (Bass/Vocals), and Zende Murdock (Drums).
The crowd was cheering waiting for The Runarounds to take the stage. Once they took the stage, they opened up the show with "Ghosts" and immediately put on a high energy performance. Their set went on and they sang a cover of "Somedays" by The Strokes. They also performed their first ever song which is no longer released, "Wild kids". You could really tell the fans there were true fans when they knew all the lyrics to that song.
The energy on stage and from the crowd was infectious. Everyone was jumping and singing along, from the front of the crowd to the very back.
The band left the stage and the crowd cheered for one more song. The Band returned for an encore and sang their hit cover of the song "Valerie". During this song, Axel jumped off stage and sang to fans at the front of the barricade. After the show, fans lined up waiting to hopefully meet the boys outside the venue. They all came out and talked to and took pictures with everyone!
