Mustard Service’s Vice City Magic Tour in Tampa, FL

On Saturday, August 9th, Mustard Service played their 27th show of their “Vice City Magic” tour. Accompanying Mustard Service at this show was solo artist Sam E. and rock band, Strawberry Milk Cult.

Sam E. is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Argentina. All of his music is in Spanish, but Sam does a fantastic job of conveying the emotions from his music to a primarily English speaking audience. Sam also has a bright and welcoming stage presence and fills up the entire bandstand while only being one person. His performance featured his original music performed acoustically. His releases sound much different when listening on streaming platforms, which contrarily have heavy drums and synthesizers. Sam is currently working on recording acoustic versions of his music.

Strawberry Milk Cult is an Indie Rock band from Houston, Texas. As of June, they are signed to Blue Swan Records. They are about to release a new album, and played each track in order on stage as part of their set. They had a really energetic and hardcore presence on stage, but their released music shows a much softer and more emotional side to the musicians.

Mustard Service from Miami, Florida, headlined this show and featured hits from their entire discography, including “Taking Up Space,” “Daddy Dookie Brown,” “(Your Cat) Don’t Stand A Chance,” and “Dominos.” They also played music from their latest album, “Vice City Magic,” like “Conversation Overtime.” During their set, Mustard Service brought up their sound engineer to sing “Fireflies” by Owl City. Their bassist also sang “All Star” by Smash Mouth.

Overall, this show was such a good time, and showcased so many different styles of music. I highly recommend checking out all three of these artists!
