The Gold Star Baby Tour Comes to an End in San Francisco, CA

Indie-pop band The Aces closed out the U.S. leg of their tour with a captivating performance at Bimbo’s 365 in San Francisco, CA on December 7, 2025.

The band consists of sisters Cristal Ramirez (lead vocals, guitar) and Alisa Ramirez (drums, vocals), along with best friends Katie Henderson (guitar, vocals), and Mckenna Petty (bass, vocals). The recent release of their fourth album Gold Star Baby blends together 70s/80s funk with a punchy bassline.

Opening the show was pop star Lydia Knight. Engaging the crowd with original songs like “Gutter” and “Chameleon” off of her debut album Parody of Pleasure. The Aces surprised Lydia with bright pink boas for her rock cover of “Baby” by Justin Bieber.

As fans wait for the band to take the stage, scattering lights from the disco ball roam the venue. The band was brought out with “Welcome to the Gold Star Baby,” which instantly set the tone for disco pop. The Aces were lit with a blend of purple, pink, and yellow lights admittedly grabbing the attention of the crowd.

Their set included new songs like “Twin Flame,” “She Like Me” and one of Cristal’s favorites “You Got Me.” “Twin Flame” has Latin sounds infused, making it danceable and addicting. The show just kept going with only brief pauses for interactions from the band checking in on the crowd.

The band brough up a fan on stage each night of the tour, making them the Gold Star Baby of the night. Tonight's winner happened to also be celebrating a birthday. Her outfit was on theme with the album as she was wearing a gold sequin dress. Being the last night of the tour, the band also brought out their tour crew for a celebratory drink.

The Aces closed out their show with “Stuck,” and the energy in the room just kept going with fans jumping. They ended the show by taking a group pic with the crowd.
