Outside Lands Returning to Golden Gate Park for its 18th Year

Outside Lands will be returning to the Bay Area for its 18th year at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The festival offers seven stages with access to over 90 artists over the three-day weekend from August 7-9th.

The first ever Outside Lands premiered back in 2008 when it hosted artists such as Radiohead, Cold War Kids, and Jack Johnson. At that time the cost of tickets was $225 plus fees for all three days, and around 130,000 people attended the first festival.

Headliners who you won’t want to miss out on this year include; The Strokes, Djo, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Turnstile. The Strokes will be releasing their album Realty Awaits on July 24th and may add some songs off the new album in their setlist.

Some up and coming artists that you won’t want to miss out on are Malcolm Todd, Chezile, and Marlon Funaki. Malcolm Todd recently released his new album Do That Again which is a mixture of alternative and R&B. Chezile is known for his debut single “Beanie” which was released in 2023. His EP 47 also creates a slow and dreamy feeling that draws listeners in. Lastly, Marlon Funaki is a talented artist who writes his own music and has an undeniable stage presence which makes you want to jump around.

Another reason you are going to want to grab a ticket to this festival is to enjoy a little Taste of the Bay, which provides over one hundred diverse restaurant options for festivalgoers. As for beverages there is Wine Lands and Beer Lands which are scattered throughout the event.
