Nashville-based indie-pop alt band, Nightly, released their newest single “tv shows”

August 9, 2024 - Just under a week after their most recent show at Lollapalooza, Nightly announced and released their third single of the year, “tv shows”. With only one day for fans to prepare, they posted a snippet of their new song to Instagram, very quickly getting their fans super excited for the new song to drop. The song was written and produced by lead singer, Jonathon Capeci, as well as bassist, Joseph Barreta.

“tv shows” captures the feelings of a new relationship and wanting to not move things too quickly despite how natural it may feel to do so. It also really describes when you like just being with a person for their genuine presence without it mattering what you may do together. It describes that feeling of being comfortable with somebody and not feeling the need to put too much pressure on anything.

Many fans are sharing the new single to their Instagram stories with serene pictures and videos in the background. Some of the posts include boat rides, long drives, and sunsets. These visuals, along with the relaxing music in the song, really compliment the comfort and ease that this song describes.

This is one of their first singles to be released since their album, wear your heart out, which debuted in August of 2023. Some of Nightly’s other most recent singles, for those who may want to dive deeper into their discography, include, “don’t even think about it,” “like I do,” and the title track of their most recent album, “wear your heart out.”
